AHEC Ribbon Cutting.jpg

Honored to attend the 25 year ribbon cutting ceremony and present my first (and hopefully of many) Official Proclamation from the House of Delegates to the Eastern Shore Area Health Education Center.

A great organization helping to recruit and train future healthcare providers for District 37.

A beautiful piece of art in a beautiful place to live.

A vibrant mew mural was dedicated on Aug. 13, 2022 in Downtown Cambridge. The Dorchester Women’s Mural features a dozen women from the past and present who have made a difference in Dorchester County and far beyond. Several of the women featured in the mural were on hand for the event. The mural was created this summer by Baltimore-based artist Bridget Cimino – who was selected among 17 applications.

The 12 women featured are:

  1. Yogananda Pittman, former Acting Chief of the U.S. Capitol Police

  2. Civil Rights activist Gloria Richardson

  3. Admiral Sara A. Joyner, the first female carrier strike fighter squadron leader

  4. Anna Ella Carroll, advisor to President Lincoln

  5. Bea Arthur, actress of stage, screen and television

  6. Champion sharpshooter Annie Oakley

  7. Social activist Harriet Tubman

  8. Mayor Victoria Jackson-Stanley, the first woman and first African American mayor of Cambridge

  9. Dr. Lida Orem Meredith, the first woman doctor in Dorchester County

  10. Fronnie Jones, matriarch of a legendary 60-year, multi-generational crab picking family at J.M. Clayton’s

  11. Donna Wolf Mother Abbott, the first woman Chief of the Nause Waiwash tribe

  12. Dakota Abbott Flowers, six-time champion muskrat skinner.

Sheriff Joe Gamble Addiction Awareness 1.jpg

The Talbot Goes Purple Festival of Hope event in Easton. was a very impressive event, led by Sheriff Joe Gamble and the Talbot County Sheriff’s Department. This event brings much needed awareness to the issues of addiction. It was well attended and supported by many great organizations who are available to help overcome addiction.

June 18th marked the 25 year celebration of the opening of Portside Restaurant.         This landmark is another great story of a small business that has excelled despite the odds. Marsha Christopher and Tracie Whitely are top notch and never lost focus.
I will always be pro-business and fight to help them thrive. I was honored that my friend Bird Dog Wheeler made a great shout out to the crowd to endorse my campaign.

May 23, 2002 - Today was one of the best days of my campaign! Brett and Jamie Summers hosted a wonderful event at their beautiful home in Cambridge tonight. I was joined by many supporters and well wishers. I was truly humbled by their kind words of encouragement and financial support.

THE TOWERS MUSEUM - May 1, 2022 - Denton, MD

From Wicomico this morning to Caroline County this afternoon for an amazing event to support Circuit Court Judge Price at The Towers Museum. Incredible amount of support not only for Judge Price but also for our current delegation who were in attendance. Hearing how each of them have helped the residents of Caroline was quite impressive. I look forward to providing the same or greater support as their delegate.
